How to add email to your Phone or Mobile device.

This article will discuss ways for the user to add email to their Android or iOS devices.

Before continuing, you will need the following:

· Email Address

· Password

· Server =

iPhone and iPad

Go to your device's Settings, scroll down and select Accounts & Passwords > Add Account.

NOTE: If you're on iOS 10, go to Mail > Accounts > Add Account.

Select Add Account

Select Exchange

Enter your Office 365 or Exchange email address and a description of your account. Tap Next.

Example: Our work domain is

Tap Sign In.

Enter the password associated with your account. Tap Sign In or Next.

The Mail app may request certain permissions. Tap Accept.

Choose the services you want to sync with your iOS device and tap Save.

Android Phones

Note: Gmail is the default for Android, but this will not hinder the addition of other email accounts.

Update your Gmail app to the latest version:

· Open the Google Play Store app on your phone.

· Type "Gmail" into the search bar and then select Update.

· After the update is installed, tap the Gmail app icon to open it.

NOTE: If the update option is not available, you're already on the latest version.


Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner > Settings > Add account > Exchange and Office 365.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT choose "Outlook, Hotmail, and Live" unless you want to sync email only.

Enter your full email address and tap Next.

Enter your password and tap Next.

Follow any prompts you may get, including security permissions. You may also be asked to set your sync settings and a display name.

If you use Office 365 for business, you may also be asked to give additional security control. In this case, choose Activate.

Android Samsung Email App

· Open the Samsung Email app and tap Add Account if it's your first time.

· Or, go to Settings in the app > Add account.

Enter your email address and password. Tap Sign in.

NOTE: If the email app detects your provider, you may be redirected to a different sign in screen.

If you're prompted to select account type, choose Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to sync contacts and calendars.

Tap Yes or Ok to confirm settings and permissions. What you see may vary depending on what kind of account you're setting up.

Note: Please be sure to accept the Policy Statement after this step.
