Equifax VOE Ordering

  • Select the Service

    • After completing the borrower information section, select the “Services” link from the top menu bar or “Order Verifications” under the “Services” tab from the left-hand side navigations.

  • Then select “The Work Number” from the “My Providers” list.

  • A pop up screen will appear:

    • *From here, you select the desired order types from the “Order Verification” tab.

    • *Then place your order by selecting the “Order” button at the bottom of the page.

  • Verification Displayed

    • When the data is available instantly, the system displays the verification. Print if desired

  • VOE/VOI Information will be available in the eFolder

  • Researched (or Manual) Verifications

    • In the event you get the following error message:

    • This means that The Work Number does not have a record of that employee on the instant database. You may request that we research the verification for you through Encompass as well.

  • Ordering a Researched (or Manual) Verification

    • A pop-up screen will appear.

    • Select the ‘Order Researched Verification’ tab.

    • Select Borrower or Co-Borrower

    • The employer name will auto-populate from the employer information on the application.  

    • The more information provided for the employer, the easier it will be for The Work Number® agents to correctly identify the employer. (Use “Comments”)

    • If income information is needed, simply check the box.

    • Then upload the required Authorization Form to place the order.

    • Finally, click “Order” to submit.

  • Checking Status of a Researched Order

    • Once the order has been placed, you will see the order on the ‘Check Status/View Result’ tab.  

    • Click the “Check Status” button at the bottom of the tab to display the current status of the order.  

    • Use the ‘Send Authorization’ or ‘Fax Cover Sheet’ links to submit another Authorization Form.

  • Retrieving Results of a Researched Order

    • Once the order has been successfully completed, you will receive a notification by email.

    • The results will move to the ‘Attachments’ section of the tab.  

    • Click on the ‘View Result’ button to view verification.  It will have the same look as the instant verification displayed earlier.
