Encompass stalls when attempting to print a custom form

- From the Start menu, type "regedit" and open the regedit.exe program.
- In the registry editor, navigate to one of the following key depending on the bit-ness of your OS:
- For 64-bit OSes, navigate to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ellie Mae\Encompass
- For 32-bit OSes, navigate to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ellie Mae\Encompass
- Right-click on the Encompass key, select New->String Value.
- Name the String Value: WordBackgroundPrint
- Once named, double-click on the newly created Value and set the "Value data" to 0.
- Click OK.
How to ensure appropriate permissions are set on the key:It's important that the user the Encompass process is running as has access to the Encompass key so that the application can read any settings necessary for its operation.- In the registry editor, navigate to one of the following key depending on the bit-ness of your OS:
- For 64-bit OSes, navigate to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ellie Mae\Encompass
- For 32-bit OSes, navigate to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ellie Mae\Encompass
- Right-click on the Encompass key, select "Permissions".
- Confirm that you see the user running Encompass is either listed or is part of a group listed in the resulting Permissions window. If not, add the user by clicking on "Add" and entering the User.
- Confirm that the relevant user or group has Read permissions allowed.
